That's right. 6 games in and this team, which everyone expected to dueling it out with Phoenix for dead last, is first in the conference.
It's no time to break out the champagne, but at least we can be happy that the team is competitive this year - even if they miss the playoffs.
Anderson, again, was spectacular. Definitely a dark horse for the Vezina if he keeps it up. The only goal he let in - a Francois Beauchemin power play goal - shouldn't have taken place (in my opinion) because the "boarding" call on McLeod was incredibly weak.
Matt Duchene is frustrated with his lack of goal production, but he'll get going eventually. He's still picking up assists (3) and the team is winning.
Darcy Tucker has been excellent. Finally, he's playing like the Tucker management thought they were signing. 3 goals - 5 points in 6 games thus far.
Next game is Thursday against Montreal. Expect Liles to be out (along with Preissing and Salei - Ryan Wilson should draw in), and expect 'Boods' to be in goal.
