Ryan Smyth Should Play LA Every Night.

Ryan Smyth led the way tonight with another two goal performance against the Kings; he now has 9 goals in the last 6 games against them.

That said, Colorado was heavily outplayed, and out shot 29-16. Budaj registered his 1st win of the season in easily his best outing. He let in one horrible goal to Oscar Moller, but was solid for the most part.

Stastny and Hejduk continued to light things up as well. In fact, that line is currently the best scoring line in hockey. Colorado doesn't get much attention in the hockey lime light, but people better start taking note of this trio;

Smyth (4 G, 2 A, +0) - Stastny (1 G, 9 A, +3) - Hejduk (6 G, 2 A, +3)

All-Star like numbers 6 games into the season- but it's only 6 games. Last year Mike Cammalleri was the first player to score 10 goals, but only finished with 19 on the entire season.

On another note, Darcy Tucker was injured near the 17:00 mark of the 3rd period. I'm not sure how serious it is, but hopefully he's alright. It's way too early for injuries to start rolling in, especially with this team. I hold my breath every time Smyth or Svatos has the puck.

The next game is...read the end of the previous blog. I totally botched that one.
